Charles Falkenhainer
Born in Guttenberg, Iowa, November 26, 1876. Graduated from Guttenberg high school in 1892. Graduated from Bayless business college, Dubuque in 1893. Graduated from Philadelphia college of pharmacy as doctor in pharmacy in 1899 (this class was the first to complete the three-year course in pharmacy). Entered business in Dubuque, Iowa, July 1, 1899. Was appointed to fil the unexpired term of Mr. Wilson, deceased, of Oelwein, as pharmacy commissioner in 1917, on May 1, by Governor Harding. Was appointed for a full term May 1, 1919. Am also at present time secretary of the Iowa state Rexall club and one of the vice presidents of the national association boards of pharmacy. Acting president over district No. 4, which includes the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North and South Dakota. Was recently elected one of five members on the executive committee of the northwestern pharmacy bureau, which will handle drug legislation for the entire northwestern states.-source: Official Register, State of Iowa 1921-1922, Twenty-Ninth Number, Biographies of State Officers, pg. 314
