Larson, John, merchant -- St. Olaf -- born 7 April, 1841, near Lillehammer, Norway. At seven years of age he came with his parents to Wisconsin, then settled in Clayton county, Iowa.
Larson has farmed at Clear Lake for about four years, and in Clayton county for about twenty-three years; and in 1892 he, in company with his son, bought his present general merchandise business, doing an annual business of about $20,000.
He is a member of the United Norwegian Lutheran church; and was married to Agenta Christenson in 1866. She died in 1897, leaving eight children.
