Mrs. Carl Larsen Dies Saturday; Funeral Monday

Mrs. Carl Larsen, 44, of Spencer passed away Saturday night at 7:15 o'clock at a Spencer Hospital of a lingering illness. She had been a patient there for three weeks and had received treatment at Iowa City for three weeks, and operation also being performed at the University Hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Cobb Funeral home with Rev. K. Nyegaard, Pastor of the Bethany Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery northwest of Spencer.

Here Two Years

Mrs. Larsen and her husband had lived in Spencer for two years. They came here from Grand Rapids, Michigan which had been their home since their marriage July 15, 1929.

Mrs. Larsen, the former Margaret Ray, was born in Scotland, July 19, 1891 and came to the United States in 1920, locating at Grand Rapids.

Surviving besides Mr. Larsen are two sisters and a brother living in Scotland and relatives of Mr. Larsen.

Mr. Larsen who is engaged in construction work at Spencer, has lived here for many years.
