Norman Fletcher, the son of Charles and Ada Fletcher, was born at Bangor, Wisconsin, August 19, 1898, and at the time of his death he was 32 years, 11 months and 14 days of age.

When a small boy he with his parents moved to Greenville, Iowa, the date of their settlement there being in 1907. They resided there but a short time, moving from that place to Penn, South Dakota. In the following spring Mr. Fletcher moved back to Greenville, making his home with Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Kirby, until the time he was married to Miss Olive Barglof, January 31, 1921. To the union were born three children, Frances Fern, aged nine, Vernon Newton, aged six, and Norma Jean, aged three.

Mr. Fletcher lived the major part of his life in this community, where he was well known and highly respected as an industrious farmer and kindly friend.

He was a member of the "Organized Friendly Bible Class" of the Friends Bible School, and always gave close attention to the class discussion when present.

There survive to mourn his going, his widow and two children, Frances and Vernon, Norma Jean preceeding him in death some 32 hours. Also, there are his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fletcher of Minneapolis, Minn., Charles, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Cephes of Bangor, Wis., and many other relatives and a large circle of loyal friends.
