YOUNG MOTHER DIES SUDDENLY MONDAY
Services for Mrs. Harold Lidman to Be Held Sunday

Mrs. Harold Lidman, 21, life time resident of Clay county and mother of one small child, died suddenly Wednesday morning, Oct. 4, at about 9 o'clock at her home on West Seventh street.

Although in poor health since last November, Mrs. Lidman seemed to have been much improved the last few months and the day prior to her death she was up town. Mrs. Lidman retired to her bed at the usual hour Tuesday evening and the following morning when her husband went to work, was supposedly feeling fine. At about 9 o'clock she was called for breakfast and when she did not respond to the call, her family went to her room to arouse her and found her dead. Death was caused from an acute heart attack.

Surviving are her husband and small son, Kirky Gene, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sorenson, of near Dickens, four brothers, Leroy and Arthur at home, Harold and Herbert of Spencer, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral rites will be held Sunday afternoon, Oct. 8 at 2 o'clock from the John Lidman home and 2:30 o'clock from the Danish Lutheran church. Burial will be made in Riverside cemetery, Spencer.

Marie Nicolene Sorenson was born near Dickens, Ia., March 3, 1912, and remained there until after her career in the Dickens school after which she came to Spencer and attended the local high school from which she graduated with the class of 1929.

At Jackson, Minn., January 27, 1929, she was united in marriage to Harold Lidman of this city, and with the exception of one year of their married life which was spent at Jefferson, Ia., the young couple had always lived in Spencer.

Mrs. Lidman was a member of the Bethany Lutheran church. She was baptized in the faith and was confirmed in 1927.
