Dale Bertram Masterson, the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Masterson of Prairie avenue died Monday evening, April 30, 1923, after an illness of six days with pneumonia. From the first the little fellow's condition was considered serious and heroic efforts were made to save the life so dear and precious to parents and the surviving little sister and brother.
Dale Bertram Masterson was born December 6, 1921, and at the time of his death, was nearly seventeen months of age. He was born in Spencer and is survived by his parents and by a sister, Ardyce, and one brother, James.
Funeral services were held from the home on Prairie avenue Wednesday afternoon at four o'clock and were conducted by the Rev. Stuart pastor of the M. E. church. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery.
Relatives who came from away to be with the sorrowing parents at this time were Bert Snow, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Combs, and Mrs. George Snow all of Rockwell City, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Miller of Charles City.
