Ervine Marion Wilson was born June 3, 1917 to Warner and Fina (Hartman) Peelgren of Webb, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Webb, where she received her education, graduating from Webb High School.

She married Julius S. Chestelson in June 23, 1947. They farmed their river bottom farm in the Webb area until they retired, spending their winters in Harlingen, Texas. There she volunteered in the schools helping children read.

Julius passed away in May 19, 1979.

Ervine married Raymond Wilson November 19, 1983 in Concordia Lutheran Church, Webb. Following their wedding, they continued to live in rural Webb. They moved to Spencer in 1989 and joined Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Ervine was a life long arts and crafts person. She sewed, flower gardened (over 100 variety of Irises), did stain glass, and painted, to name a few of her interests.

Ervine passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at age 92 at Spencer Municipal Hospital. Ervine was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Evert "Trudy" Peelgren, her sister, Lucille O'Clair and great-granddaughter, Jennifer Meree Scanlon.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Raymond Wilson, her son Julian B. Chestelson, and his wife Sheila of Dallas Center, IA, Grandchildren Brian Chestelson of Des Moines, IA, Jon and Amy (Chestelson) Scanlon, of Urbandale, IA.
