A Sad Death

We are very sad to learn of the death of Mrs. Frank Scharnberg at her home about four miles northeast of Everly. She died Saturday morning, March 24, 1911. She had been enjoying seemingly good health until she was operated upon for the removal of a tumor, but was not able to rally from the effects of the operation. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ott and a sister of Herman Ott and Mrs. Amiel Scharnberg. She was an amiable and entertaining young woman just in the full bloom of life and listening to the song of her days before her and dreaming of the happiness in store for heirself and husband in the voyage of life together. But the dream was not to be realized, and all the bright visions were shut out by the cloud that fell suddenly upon heart and home. Not only must her anticipations of happy years be resigned, but the husband's as well. Left alone so it seems, but not alone, for near him will hover an invisible presence, and after awhile the veil will be drawn aside and they will smile to each other again. And through all the years will remain with him the memory of the bright days together. Our sympathy goes out to the lonely home. The funeral is held today at the German Lutheran church in Everly cemetery. May the sad hearts be cheered by the thought of tomorrow.
