Death of Grandma Rice
Esther Swab RiceGrandma Rice died at 8:40 p.m. on Dec. 24, 1914, aged 85 years, 4 months and some days. She had been blind for the past 8 or 10 years. Deceased was born in Ohio but for 30 years had lived in the locality, where her husband, Edmund A. Rice died 12 years ago. The surviving children are Albert and Mrs. Ed Tozier of Blairstown, George and Hall here.
The funeral was held last Saturday, with interment at the Lone Tree Cemetery, southwest of town.
