Don C. Barry was born June 26th, 1812, in Burlington, Vermont, and died at his residence in Spencer Thursday morning, June 8th, 1893, after an illness of nearly six months. He leaves an aged companion and eight children to mourn his loss. Funeral services were conducted by H. E. Higbee, in Meriden, Iowa, Sunday afternoon, June 11th, 1893, at the Trimello school house, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery nearby [Trimello Cemetery].

To the friends who so kindly gave sympathy ad assistance during the late illness and death of our beloved husband and father we tender our sincere thanks.
