Mrs. Selinda A. McCurdy of Dickens, 71 years of age, mother of A. S. McCurdy of Spencer, passed away Sunday morning, February 21, at eleven o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. C. Brintmall, in Omaha where she had been visiting since Christmas. Mrs. McCurdy fell down the basement steps of the Brintmall home at about nine o'clock and brain concussion resulted. She lived but two hours after the fall.
Mrs. McCurdy was Selinda Klopp before her marriage to Mr. McCurdy December 1, 1880, at Dickens, Iowa. The family has since reslded there.
Her husband passed away April 27, 1927.
She is survived by seven sons, D.F. McCurdy of Duluth, Minnesota, M.E. McCurdy of Fargo, North Dakota, A.S. McCurdy of Spencer, Rev. W.A, McCurdy of Chungkimg, China, R.D. McCurdy of, Broadus, Montana, R.M. McCurdy, of Duluth, Minnesota, Dr. M.D. Mc[1]Curdy of Hutchinson, Minnesota: three daughters, Mrs. George Sandin of Fillmore, California, Mrs. P.C. Brintmall of Omaha, Mrs. P.C. King of Two Harbors, Minnesota, 17 grandchildren, and two sisters; Mrs. Ida Patchke and Mrs. Rosa Seeks, both of Marion, Iowa.
A prayer service will be held Saturday noon at 12:30 o'clock at the Cobb-Phelps funeral chapel and at one o'clock at the Methodist church in Dickens. Dr. H.E. Hutchinson of the Methodist Episcopal church of Spencer will be in charge of the services.
Burial will be made a Dickens
