Ella Ethel Stuhr, 96, of Spencer and formerly of Everly, died Friday at Longhouse Residence in Spencer.
Services for Mrs. Stuhr were 10:30 a.m., Monday at the Warner Chapel. The Rev. Patrick D. Shelley officiated
Burial was at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Casket bearers were Robert Scharnberg, Steve Koch, Myron Moeller, Verle Matthiesen, Gary Scharnberg and Frank Drury
The Warner Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements
The daughter of Peter and Mary (Thompson) Ketelsen. Mrs. Stuhr was born April 10, 1890 in Dysart. She received her early education in Dysart and in 1902, she moved with her parents to Everly where she finished her schooling. After her schooling, she worked in the Telephone office in Everly
She married George Stuhr, September 18, 1912 in Everly. After their marriage, they owned and operated a hardware store in Everly.
She had been a resident of Longhouse Residence in Spencer since July of 1962.
She was a past member of OES
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972; a daughter, Althea Anderson Travis; and 10 brothers and sisters
Survivors include one granddaughter, Gayle Bailey of Everly; one grandson, Dean Anderson of Houston, Texas; and four grandchildren
