Funeral services for Martha M. Ramsey, 62, of Everly will be held Saturday morning at 11 in the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. Pastor Roger Hanson will officiate and burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Robert Franker, Ron Goeken, Dick Goeken, Gordon Wilken, Lee Schmidt and Dennis Deike will serve as casket bearers
The daughter of Herman and Anna (Bokker) Wilken, Ramsey was born November 19, 1919 in Everly, where she grew up. Ramsey graduated from Everly High School in 1937 and attended Wartburg College in Waverly and Buena Vista College in Storm Lake. Upon her graduation, she began teaching.
She married Earl Ramsey in February, 1945. They lived in Terril, Hartley, Gillett Grove and Everly and until her retirement in 1969, Ramsey taught school in both the Moneta and South Clay School systems.
She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly and the Sarah Circle
Ramsey died Wednesday at her home in Everly.
Her parents and one brother preceded her in death
Survivors include five brothers, George, John, Fred, Henry and Herman all of Everly; four sisters, Mrs. Lena Schmidt of Spencer, Mrs. Gertrude Bender of Cedar Rapids, Helen A. Wilken of Everly and Mrs. Louise Dougal of Lake Park
The Warner Funeral home of Spencer is in charge of the service arrangements
