Oscar Mohni, 73 Spencer and formerly of Everly, died Sunday, March 6 at Marian Health Center, Sioux City
Funeral services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Everly with the Rev. G. Duane Baun officiating
Casket bearers are Jim Wilcox, Terry Thomsen, Rich Englert, Leo Behrens, Irv Maaland and Chuck Selzer
Honorary casket bearers are Carl Winterboer, Carl Selzer, Willard Spangler, Bob Webb, Elmer Wede, Elmer Witt, Doug Gathman, Rodney Thomsen and Ralph Brausey
Oscar Mohni, the son of Albert and Emma (Hugli) Mohni was born August 26, 1920 near Everly. It was there he received his early education
He served in the United States Army during World War II
On June 15, 1945, he married Helen Just in Worthington, Minnesota. they made their home near Everly, farming and raising cattle. He worked for the Everly Elevator from 1969 to 1984.
The couple moved to Spencer in 1993
Mr. Mohni was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Everly
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jim Mohni and his wife, Nancy of Cedar Rapids; Dennis Mohni of Whitewood, South Dakota; four grandchildren; one brother, William Mohni of Hartley, three sisters, Tillie Rogenburg of Hartley; Marie Wiese and her husband Harry of Hartley and Louise Steinbeck and her husband, Wilbur of Campbellsport, Wisconsin
