Funeral for Charles Klett, 84, of Everly was held Saturday afternoon from Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Gary Bird officiated
Burial was at Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly
Bearers were Steven Farquhar, Paul Farquhar, Gale Klett, Lanny Klett, Mark Klett and Schott Klett
Mr. Klett died Thursday at a Sioux City Hospital of injuries he received in a traffic accident December 17, 1977
He was born March 20, 1893, to Frederick and Margaret (Starr) Klett near Everly
On May 8, 1918, he was married to Mabel Hakeman in Dickinson County
He received his education in country schools near Everly. He took care of his parents at an early age as well as farming near Everly. After marriage, the couple farmed in Westport Township in Dickinson County. He retired in 1967 and moved into Everly. He read water meters in Everly the past few years
Surviving are his widow, Mabel of Everly; four sons, Forrest and Donald, both of Everly; Duane of Corydon, Iowa and Jerry of Downey, California; three daughters, Mrs. Myrl (Cleone) Farquhar of Sutherland; Mrs. Richard (Delma) terpstra of Spencer and Mrs. Loren (Janice) Wilson of Milford; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, three brothers and nine sisters
