Services for George Jessen, 79 of New Richland, Minnesota will be held Wednesday at t9:30 a.m. in All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland. The Rev. S. Weir Will officiate. A reviewal will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with service at 3:30 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Everly
Burial will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery
Bearers will be grandson, Geoffrey, James W., George, and Charles Jessen, Mike, Mark and Thomas Scribbins
Mr. Jessen was born in Everly on December 18, 1896, son of George and Sophia (Moeller) Jesen. He graduated from Everly High School. He was a farmer and a livestock feeder and operated auction barns in Royal and Everly for many years. He began farming at Matawan, Minnesota in 1945
He married Alice Fell of Everly at St. Mary's Church on September 14, 1921
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ellis James Jessen of New Richland and Gerald L. Jessen of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a daughter, Mrs. Elaine Scribbins of Webster City and a sister.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Edward in 1940 and by one brother and one sister
