Funeral services for Lester Jay Hildreth, 84, of Everly, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Hope Lutheran Church, Everly. The Rev. Roger Hanson will officiate at the service.
Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Mr. Hildreth died Tuesday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Casket bearers will be Jeffrey Hildreth, Harlen Knapp, Mitchell Hildreth, Tim Gray and Merlyn Fell
The Warner Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of the service arrangements
The son of Oscar and Ida (Eichman) Hildreth. Mr. Hildreth was born March 16, 1902, in Wallworth, Wisconsin. He moved to Illinois with his family as a child, receiving his education in the McHenry County Schools
He then started working with his father on the family's dairy farm
Mr. Hildreth married Edna Moeller on May 7, 1927, in Woodstock, Illinois. They lived in Des Plaines, Illinois following their marriage, moving to Everly during the depression
Mr. Hildreth farmed for a number of years in the Everly area.
He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Everly
Preceding Mr. Hildreth in death were his parents and one brother
Surviving include his wife; one son Bernard of Hartley; two grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Hildreth of Grovis Mills, Missouri
