Funeral services in memory of Luella Mae Hartmann were held at the Hope Lutheran Church, Everly, on December 26. Officiating clergyman was Pastor Roger Hanson. Interment was at the Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly, Iowa.

Luella Mae Hartmann was born July 4, 1925 near Everly, Iowa, to Herman and Christina Krambeck Schmidt. She received both her elementary and high school education in the Everly Schools, and then continued her education in Estherville, where she received her Teaching Certificate. For three years prior to her marriage she taught in both Dickinson and Clay Counties.

Luella was married to Clifford Hartmann on August 31, 1947, in Everly, Iowa, and since that time, the Everly community has been their home. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran church.

Mrs. Hartmann died on December 23, 1975 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital, having reached the age of 50 years, 4 months, and 19 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Luella is survived by her husband, Clifford, of Everly; two sons, James and Joel, both of Everly; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Taylor of Ruthven; other relatives and friends.
