Services for Susie Ann Fell, 87 of Spencer, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday December 2 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Timothy Schott will officiate
Casket Bearers will be Jim Fell, David Fell, Robert Bixler, Merlyn Fell, Jim Jessen and Arthur Elbert
Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Ms. Fell died Wednesday, November 27, at the Longhouse Residence, Spencer
She was born August 8, 1904 to John and Mary (Grendler) Fell in Everly. Her childhood years were spent in the Everly Community and it was there she received her early education
After graduating from Everly High School, she attended Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls. Following graduation, she attended the University of Colorado for one year
Ms. Fell began her teaching career in Everly, before later moving to Rock Rapids and Cottonwood, Idaho.
She moved to Spencer, Where she taught for a number of years before retiring after 60 years of teaching
In addition to her teaching, Ms. Fell enjoyed traveling. She visited Europe three times and also traveled to the Orient.
Ms. Fell was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, Legion of Mary and the National Retired Teachers Association
Ms. Fell was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters
She is survived by two brothers, Lewis and his wife Mary of Spencer and Morris of Everly; two sisters, Alice Jessen of New Richland, Minnesota and Agnes Howe of Oxnard, California; and one sister in law, Viola Fell of Everly
