Funeral services for Ella Hulda Oliver 71, of Spencer were held Friday at the United Methodist Church in Montgomery. The Rev. Robert Phillips officiated with burial in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly
Casket bearers were Paul Anderson, Bruce Johnson, Ernest Gath, Jim Kelsey, Bruce Vodraska and Roger Wieck
Oliver, the daughter of J.F. and Dorothy Merry was born August 18, 1910 in Hartley, where she graduated from high school in 1928
She married Stephen T. Oliver on June 4, 1933 in Montgomery
A school teacher for fives years in Osceola, two years in Royal and 10 years in Milford, Oliver was a member of the United Methodist Church of Montgomery, the Homemakers Club, the United Methodist Women and the Rebekah Lodge
She died February 15 at the Longhouse Residence in Spencer
Survivors include her husband, Stephen; five children, Mrs. Audrey Nissen of Mesa, Arizona, John of Dows, Mrs. Pat Alger of Dickens, Ronald of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Douglas of Boulder, Colorado; 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and two sisters, Dorothy Bradshaw of Des Moines and Hilda Arthur of Estherville
The Donovan Leyson Funeral Home was in charge of the service arrangements
