Mrs. J.L. Tuel of Milford, a former resident of this city, passed away Saturday morning, May 26, at 1:30 at her home in Milford. Mrs. Tuel had been in poor health for several months, her death resulting from heart trouble and other complications. At the time of her death, Mrs. Tuel was 41 years and 13 days old.
Florence Amelia Swanson was born in Lincoln township, Clay County. May 14, 1887. She attended the rural schools and following her graduation she took a two year course in music in a school in Des Moines.
She spent her girlhood days in and near Spencer. She also spent several years in the west.
She was united in marriage to Julius L. Tuel of Milford. Since her marriage to Mr. Tuel she has lived practically all of her time in Milford.
Mrs. Tuel was affiliated with the Swedish Lutheran church and later joined the Methodist Episcopal church.
She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and Eastern Star Lodges.
Mrs. Tuel is survived by her husband, J.T. Tuel. two daughters, Misses Marguerite and Catherine Finch, by former marriage , all of Milford. Iowa, her mother. Mrs. Amanda Swanson, three brothers, Malcom. William and Fred of this city, numerous other relatives
and a large circle of friends
Her father and an infant sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services wore held Monday afternoon, May 28, at Milford, Iowa. Dr. Herbert Clegg and Rev. Dagner of this city conducted the services.
Interment was made In Lincoln township cemetery.
