Obituaries Funeral services held for Anita Marie Kamradt

Funeral services for Anita Kamradt were held on Thursday, October 3, 2002, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hartley, IA with Pastor Dave Kricksen officiating.

Music Selection included “In the Garden” and Wind Beneath My Wings” performed by soloist Dawn Johnson Congregational hymns were “How Great Thou Art “, “Amazing Great” and “Lord Take My Hand and Lead Me” Organist was Donna Ahlers.

Casket Bearers were Randy Jensen, Robert Jensen, Gale Bobolz, Jerry Miller, John Leonard and Jerry Schumann.

Honorary Casket Barriers were Cindy Seleski, Deb Shandley, Dawn Biedenfild, Sheila Tatman, Lori Barnes Jamie Hagedorn.

Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley, IA under the direction of Warner Funeral Home, Hartley, IA.

Anita Marie Kamradt, the daughter of August and Minnie Amendt Miller was born March 5, 1913, In Sutherland, Iowa. She received her early education in country schools and after graduating from Sutherland High School, attended St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Sioux City, IA.

Anita married August Gerhardt Kamradt on December 31, 1935, at his parent’s farm near Sutherland. Following their marriage, they, framed in the Sutherland, Royal and Moneta areas for many years. They moved to Moneta in 1950, and the Hartley community in 1976. They spent their winters in Texas for 25 years. In May of 1999, they moved to the Riverview Terrace Facility in Spencer, Ia. Anita was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hartley for 50 years.

Mrs. Kamradt passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer on Monday, September 30, 2002, at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, August, on May 6, 2002; a grandson, Steve Kamradt, and two brothers, Freeman and Herbert.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Shirley and Bob Frembgen of Hastings, Minnesota, Dick and Karen Kamradt of rural Primghar, IA and Herman and Candy Kamradt of Spencer, IA; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
