Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in memory of Kent.

Kent Stanley Olson, the son of Stanley and Margaret (Mason) Olson was born on August 30, 1956 in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Ruthven, Iowa. This is where he graduated from in 1975.

He then went to Iowa State University for Agriculture and following college he moved to Arizona until he decided to come home to Iowa to work with the family in the farming and cattle industry.

Kent married Rhonda (Ennema DeYoung) on September 1, 1990. During their time together they shared many laughs and good times. Kent was an amazing papa to his children, Jillian and Jonathan DeYoung.

He loved spending time on Lake Okoboji with his family and friends, old cars and his Harley.

Kent was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ruthven, Iowa.

He left this world on March 28, 2015 way too soon.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, Stanley Olson; brothers-in-law, Ryan Ennema, and Joseph Roberts; aunts, Barbara Pierson and Wanda Nicholson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rhonda Olson of Ruthven, Iowa; his children, Jillian DeYoung of Spencer, Iowa and Jonathan (Jen) DeYoung of Gilbert, Arizona and two beautiful granddaughters, Camryn and Chloe; his mother, Margaret Olson of Tucson, Arizona; his father-in-law, Martin Ennema of Sheldon, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Rees (John) of Okoboji, Iowa; his sister, Kay Roberts Arbuckle (Danny) of Buckeye, Arizona; his brothers-in-law: John (Roswitha) Ennema of Severna Park, Maryland; Terry Sterler of Keller, Texas; Mark (Cindy) Ennema of Sheldon, Iowa; Tom (Kathy Jo) Ennema of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Mat (Jenepher) Ennema of Sheldon, Iowa; Scott (Jill) Koedam of Sheldon, Iowa; Kenny Lee Snyder (Angalea) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; along with lots of nieces and nephews whom he loved very much as well as lots and lots of family and friends.
