On February 26, 1921 Clarence (Tim) Bohlen and Sylvia (Kinseth) Bohlen were blessed with the birth of their daughter Frances Jensena Bohlen. Frances' life began in Alexander, Iowa where she grew up, graduated high school and married the love of her life, Lyle Larsen in New Castle, WY in September of 1939.

Lyle and Frances lived in Alexander until 1959 when they moved to Royal, IA. They had three children: Judy Madsen, Steve Larsen and Cindy Buren.

Throughout Frances' life, her love for her family grew to include 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Frances was a talented artist; her flowers and pets also gave her much joy. She could find beauty all around her. She loved doing arts and crafts and sharing them with friends and family. During her lifetime she was a telephone operator, egg candler, school secretary, secretary for other business' and the city clerk.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Royal where she was very active in the women's group.

Frances passed away on April 6, 2015 at the Spencer Hospital with her family by her side.

In her life she lost many loved ones including her husband, Lyle, a granddaughter, Lisa Meyer, brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.

Those left to carry on her memory are her three children, Judy Madsen of Ames, Steve and Sandy Larsen of Bella Vista, AR and Cindy and Mike Buren of Royal, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchild. Her two sisters, Lil Campbell and Berniece Anderson both of Belmond and many nieces and nephews.
