Betty Lou Osterson, the daughter of Harvey and Marion (Lambertus) Walstrom, was born on September 17, 1943 in Spencer, Iowa. She was raised and received her early education in the Greenville and Rossie Schools.

On May 21, 1965, Betty married Donald Osterson in St. Paul, MN. Following their marriage, the couple resided in Greenville.

Betty enjoyed living in Greenville and raising her family. Throughout the years, Betty worked at Alfs Manufacturing and St. Luke Lutheran Home.

She really enjoyed spending time with Don truckdriving for over 20 years.

Betty liked to fish and camp, she was a reader and liked to visit with people.

She was a member of First English Lutheran Church.

Betty passed away on January 4, 2015, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 71.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald of Greenville; her 2 sons: Terry Knutson of Greenville and Danny Knutson and his wife Lisa of Greenville; two daughters: Jody Rinken and her husband, Kelly of Spencer and DeAnna Martin and her husband, Mike of Great Falls, MT; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; a sister, Shirley Baslee of Jefferson, OR; other relatives and friends.
