Judy K. Drenth, age 68 of Spencer, IA, formerly of Sibley, IA died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Country View Manor in Sibley, IA.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 19th at First Presbyterian Church in Sibley, with Rev. Terry Simm officiating.

Burial will be Thursday afternoon at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, IA.

Judy Kay (Pearson) Drenth was born January 13, 1945 at Sibley, IA the daughter of Hazel (Earl) and George Pearson. Judy attended country school at Allendorf, IA. Her family moved to Archer, IA in 1954 when she attended school in Archer and Sheldon. She graduated from Sheldon High School in 1964.

In December of 1965, she was united in marriage to Clayton Drenth at Archer, IA. They lived in Sheldon until 1973, when they moved to Spencer, IA. In 1987 they moved to Las Vegas and in 1991 returned to Spencer. Over the years she worked for various places, along with caring for her mother.

Judy enjoyed making phone calls to her family, playing bingo, cards and marbles, watching game shows on TV and playing hearts on her computer.

She was a gracious caregiver for her mother and others. Judy was a loving mother and grandmother; she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Throughout most of her adult life she experienced many health issues and never complained about her situation.

As Judys health declined she became a resident of the Country View Manor in Sibley, IA, where she died this past Sunday evening, December 15, 2013, at the age of 68.

She is survived by her son, Troy Drenth(special friend, Scherri Ralston) of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Justin (wife, Jessica) Drenth, Jacob Drenth and Danielle Drenth; her sisters, Phyllis Johns of Sibley; Gerry Rusche of Sibley; Dee (Jerry) Saunders of Paullina, IA and Joan Schuck of Sibley, IA; her special friend, Jim LeStrange of Spencer, IA; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel; her brother, Burdell Pearson and her sister, Patsy Van Dyke.
