John Edward Feldhacker was born to Edward and Rose Feldhacker at Crofton, Nebraska, December 8, 1911. His death on January 6 following a heart attack

He came to Spencer 15 years ago from Onawa and had been employed at H&N Chevrolet Company for many years operated the Cities Service Oil Station

His marriage to Hazel Mary Gilgen took place at Onawa, December 14, 1937. Eight children were born to this union; James, who is in the Navy at Norfolk, Virginia, Lawrence who is in the Navy at Oakland, California, Ronald, Dennis, Jean, Joyce, Patricia and Gregory of the home. Also surviving are six brothers, Bernard of Milford, Joseph of Onawa, Ray of Spencer, William of Gresham, Oregon, Elmer of Milford and Gilbert also of Milford; nine sisters, Mrs. Ed Foxhoven, Mrs. John Foxhoven, Mrs. Kenneth Pixler of Spencer, Mrs. Clara Schleffer of Crofton, Nebraska, Mrs. Henry Schroeder of St. Helena, Nebraska, Mrs. Henry Kuehler, Spencer, Mrs. Fred Salmon, Royal, Mrs. Allen Bingham, San Diego, California, Sister Mary Grace of Convent at Lincoln, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica

Funeral services were held Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Pastor, the Rev. Father Leo McCoy, officiating.

Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery.

His six brothers were pallbearers

Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus and Eagles Lodge
