June 20, 2005Eldon Wayne Fagen, 80, of Spencer, passed away Monday, June 20, 2005 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. Gary Nims will officiate the 10:30 a.m. service.
Burial and Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Glen Pedersen Post No. 1 at North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer.

Eldon Wayne Fagen, the son of Howard and Nellie Roberts Fagen, was born January 3, 1925 on a farm west of Rossie. His early years were spent pm a farm south of Spencer. He graduated from Cornell High School in 1943.
Mr. Fagen was drafted in 1950 and stationed at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Virginia.
Following his discharge, he married Floy Hargrave on September 21, 1952 and returned to Clay County to farm. The couple moved to Spencer in 1957, where he worked for Spencer Foods until his retirement in 1978.
Eldon was an active volunteer at the Spencer Area Senior Center and the American Legion
Mr. Fagen was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ardail Fagen
He is survived by his wife, Flo, of Spencer; one son, Chuck and his wife, Marsha Fagen of Dallas Center; one grandson and many friends.
