Services for Carl Louis Dethlefsen, 74 of Greenville will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 1979 at the Warner Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Doughman will officiate.

Interment will be at the Northlawn Cemetery

Dethlefsen, the son of Peter and Lena Dethlefsen, was born near Odebolt on August 9, 1905. In 1914 the family moved to Greenville and he received his eduacation there

Dethlefsen, married Lola Lenz on February 28, 1931 in Gowrie. They lived on a farm east of Greenville since that time.

Due to ill health, he retired from farming in 1956. He became a commissioned cattle buyer and was later a State Meat Inspector

He was baptized in infancy at the Cook Township Lutheran Church near Odebolt. After the family moved to Greenville, his membership was transferred to the Greenville Congregation Church, where he was a long time member. He was a member of the Enterprise No. 332 A.F & A.M.

Dethlefsen died at home Monday, October 8

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Willard

He is survived by his wife, Lola; a sister, Cecelia of Greenville; two nephews; four nieces; and other friends and relatives

Warner Funeral Home is in charge of the service arrangements
