July 25, 1982Funeral services for Earl Samuel Davidson, 80, of Ruthven were held Tuesday, July 27, 1982 at the Warner Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Brown officiating
Burial was in the North Lawn Cemetery at Spencer
Pallbearers; Terry Hott, Kent Hott, Steven Westergard, Earl Westergard, Jerry Roskens, Jerry Rodes
Davidson was born June 15, 1902 in Dickens, the son of Jerry of Effie Cutshall Davidson. He spent his childhood in the Dickens area and later attended Iowa State University in Ames
He married Joyce Pelley on May 1, 1935 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and they moved to Ruthven in 1946, where they have continued to live
Davidson was a carpenter
Davidson died Sunday, July 25, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
His parents, two grandchildren, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Ruthven; three daughters, Anita Hott of Dickens, Janet Westergard of Graettinger and Twyla Carlini of Fremont, California; eight grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Viola Rhodes of Spencer, Mrs. Helen Maurer of Milford and Mrs. Bertha May Austin of Arnolds Park
