December 14, 1987Funeral services for Alfred Eric Erickson, 87, Spencer, will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday at Warner Chapel. The Rev. Tom Dettmer will officiate
Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer
Casket Bearers: Ivan Pixler, Sr., James Anderson, Virgil Prather, Ivan Pixler, Jr., Ben Grimmius, Donald Smith
Mr. Erickson died Monday at Spencer Municipal Hospital
The son of August and Anna Hanson Erickson was born March 6, 1900 in Everly. His family moved to the Milford area when he was young and it was in that community he spent his childhood years and received his early education
He married Mabel Simpson, November 20, 1920 in Spirit Lake. They spent the early years of their marriage in Milford, later moving to Spencer where they had since made their home.
Mr. Erickson worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for 30 years. After retiring, he began working for Pixler Electric for a number of years.
He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Spencer
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Dwayne and Joan of Wenatchee, Washington and Darryl and June of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a daughter in law, Bernice Erickson of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren and two sisters, Margaret Pendlebury of Arnolds Park and Esther Johnson of Milford
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Delwin; four brothers and two sisters
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
