March 20, 1976Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Marie Oestenstad, 71, of Spencer were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Warner Chapel. The Rev. C. Earl Page officiated.
Burial was in the North Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Oestenstad died, Saturday, March 20, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Bearers; Stub Veitch, Wilbur Hebbel, Jerry Sears, Ron Sears, Riedar Oestenstad, Jr., Larry Oestenstad.
Mrs. Oestenstad was born June 14, 1904, at Pipestone, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Mary Post. She moved with her parents to Sioux Rapids and received her education there. For the past 50 years lived in Spencer.
She married Riedar Oestenstad in October, 1953 at Jackson, Minnesota. He preceded her in death.
She was a cook at Club 71. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Spencer.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ione (Edward) Mathison of Spencer; one grandchild and one great grandchild; one brother, Dick Post of Beloit, Wisconsin and one sister, Mrs. Hannah Patten of Remsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
The Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
