A funeral service for Dorothy O'Neal, 92, of Spencer will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28 at the First Congregational Church in Spencer. The Rev. Tom Van Tassell will lead the service.

Mrs. O'Neal died in Edina, Minnesota on Tuesday, April 15.

Casket Bearers; Anne Whitlock, Kurt Olhausen, Ross Olhausen, Bill Whitlock, Justin Whitlock, Jane Whitlock.

Interment will be at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Dorothy O'Neal, the daughter of Hugo and Emma Voss Brugman, was born in Moneta, Iowa on December 28, 1910. She attended school in Moneta until her senior year and then graduated from Hartley High School in 1928.

In 1929, she married H.J. Olhausen of Hartley, where the couple resided. Two children were born to this marriage; Robert Olhausen and Shirley Olhausen Whitlock.

In 1941, she moved to Spencer with two children and was employed by Brunais and Pitcher, the Daily Reporter and retired, after 23 years with AAA Motor Club of Iowa.

On June 21, 1956, she married Henry W. O'Neal and they continued to live in Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Ada Jones; three brothers; Karl, Bud and Russell Brugman.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Lucy of Auburn, Indiana; her daughter, Shirley Whitlock and her husband Bill of Hayward, Wisconsin, one brother, Don Brugman of Tracy, California; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister in law, Gene Brugman of Peterson, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
