May 25, 1997Donald E. Curry, 70, Spencer, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Veteran's Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Funeral services will be today at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Timothy Schott officiating.
Casket Bearers; Justin Curry, Travis Stouffer, Randy Quail, Matthew Curry, Gary Gilmore, Gordon Quail.
Honorary Casket Bearers: Gordy Wilson, Walt Schroeder, Mag Johnson, Allen Tuttle, Bob Rausch, Bill Arthur, Percy Toft.
Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.
Donald E. Curry, the son of Edmund and Hildegard Lange Curry, was born at Spencer on August 21, 1926. He was educated in Spencer schools and served in the Army during World War II.
He married Darlene Kunert at Spencer on November 5, 1952. They made their home in Spencer. He worked for Spencer Foods and Banner Beef in Hospers for a total of 28 years. For 10 years, he had owned and operated D&D's in Greenville, until retiring in 1989.
Preceding him in death were his parents and three sisters.
Mr. Curry is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard Curry and his wife, Pam, of Chatfield, Minnesota; and Terry Curry and his wife, Valerie of Spencer; three daughters, Kathy Stouffer and her husband, Duane of Fostoria; Debbie Kalstad and her husband, Gary and Pam Zehnder and her husband, Darcy, all of Farmington, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald Curry and his wife, Carol of Spencer.
