E.C. BERTRAM DIES; FUNERAL TODAY

Ernest C. Bertram, aged 80 years, died Sunday afternoon at the Spencer Municipal hospital. He had been confined to his home and the hospital for the past ten months. The immediate cause of death was caused by a heart attack. Funeral services are being held in Spencer today at a funeral chapel. Rev. F.W. Ortmeyer, of the Methodist church there is in charge. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery in Peterson.

Mr. Bertram was a large land owner around Peterson. He left his fine farm home north of Peterson several years ago and moved to Spencer. For forty years he has been a director in the bank here and has been vice-president of it for the past thirty years. He has missed but a very few board meeting in all that time

He is survived by his widow and a daughter, Bernice, who lives in New York City.
