Tigges Baby Called By Death

The entire community was saddened Monday morning to learn of the sudden death of little Larry John Tigges, six-months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tigges, who has passed away at the St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City at one o'clock that morning.

The little lad had not been feeling well for several days and on Sunday morning became much worse so that he was taken to the hospital where an operation was performed at seven o'clock that evening for an obstruction of the bowel. He was unable to recover from the operation, however, and passed away several hours later.

The Tigges family had moved to Peterson from Storm Lake just two weeks before to assume management of the drug store which they had purchased.

Funeral services are being held this (Wednesday) afternoon at the home at one-thirty o'clock and at the Congregational church at two. Rev. Charles A. Hyde will officiate and interment will be in the Oakland cemetery.

Pall bearers will be four uncles of the little boy, Jens Jensen of Orange City, Jack Jensen of Spirit Lake and Leo Tigges and Alfred Jensen of Peterson.

Left to mourn his departure are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tigges, his grandmother, Mrs. Jens Jensen, his grandfather, Henry Tigges, and many other relatives and friends.
