August 5, 1952Norma B. Christians, daughter of Arthur and Esther Westholm, was born July 30, 1926 at Albert City, Iowa. It was in this vicinity that she spent her early life and graduated from the Albert City Consolidated School in 1944. In the same year she came to Spencer and has made her home here until the time of her death
On May 22, 1949, she was united in marriage at Spencer to James W. Christians.
All through her health was impaired from the effects of a childhood illness, she continued to remain active in her home and to hold a position and at the time of her death was employed by the National Farm Loan Association in Spencer
On July 25, she was taken to the hospital where she remained for ten days. On August 4th, she was taken to her home where she passed away on August 5 at the age of 26 years and 6 days
At the time of her death she was a member of the Grace Methodist Church in Spencer
Norma was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Kenneth.
She leaves her husband, James, her mother, Mrs. Esther Westholm and a brother James of Albert City, two sisters, Mrs. June Bolyard and Mrs. LaVonne Umbrell, two nieces, Vicki and Janet all of Spencer and a host of other relatives and friends
Norma was a devoted wife, daughter and sister and her cheerful and generous personality will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends
Funeral services were held in Grace Methodist Church on August 8 with Rev. L.H. Preul officiating and burial taking place in North Lawn
Pallbearers; Don Sondergaard, Jack Anderson, Paul Krile, Tommy Tuttle, Art Loats, Herb Leighter
