Services for Elmer John Carrier, Milford, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 26, 1992 at Turner Funeral Home, Milford. Rev. Karen Dungan officiated

Pallbearers; Jack Carrier, Dave Hargrave, Clinton Jones, Ken Kahley, Russ Kuehl, Warren Miller

Elmer was born to Charles V. and Minnie Johnson Carrier on January 25, 1916 at Spirit Lake. He graduated from Spirit Lake High School

On August 24, 1938 he married Dolores Peterson at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. They made their home in Milford. That same year he began working for Asher Motor Company in Spencer. He worked there as manager of the body shop until his retirement in 1981 except two years in the military during World War II

Mr. Carrier, 76, died Saturday, October 24 at Hilltop Care Center, Spirit Lake

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores in 1976; parents; two sisters Velma and Alve and brother Leslie

Survivors include his son, Charles and his wife Margo, Spencer; granddaughters, Debra and Melissa; brother Glen and nieces and nephews

Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer

Turner Funeral Home, Milford was in charge of arrangements
