January 14, 1987Graveside services for Everett Crosser, 78, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Hartley, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer. The Rev. Robert Cummings will officiate
Mr. Crosser died January 14 in Colorado Springs
Mr. Crosser was born January 21, 1908, in Hartley, the son of Silas and Cora Jones Crosser. He attended the Hartley Public Schools and married Elizabeth Miller in Spencer in 1962
A retired musician, Mr. Crosser played in the Night Hawks Band, on the radio in Shreveport, Louisana and Texarkana, for silent movies and on a showboat that sailed on the Mississippi River. He played the saxophone and clarinet
He was a member of the Musicians Union and the Elks Lodge, and had lived in Colorado Springs for five years
Mr. Crosser was preceded in death by his wife in October, 1979; three brothers and two sisters
Survivors include one son, Duane of Security, Colorado; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren
Warner Funeral Home, Spencer is in charge of the service
