Henry Cardell, 96, Milford, died January 19, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital, Spencer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22 at 10 a.m. at the Union Memorial Church, Milford withe the Rev. Karen Dungan officiating.

Casket Bearers; Charles Campbell, Dick Hermanson, Dale Jones, Dennis Koelling, Charles Kovacevich and Raymond Krieger.

Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.

Henry Cardell the son of William and Augusta Luke Cardell was born August 31, 1897 in Spencer.

On October 22, 1925 he married Jessie Taylor. Following their marriage, the couple worked for the Anderson Brothers in Terril for nine years. They then farmed in Lake Township for 15 years. The couple brought a farm near Terril and farmed for 12 years before retiring and moving to Milford.

Mr. Cardell also worked for Dale Vandenburgh during his retirement years.

He was a member of the Union Memorial Church of Milford and was the church custodian for 18 years.

Mr. Cardell was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Lorraine Campbell and her husband, Dale of Cambridge; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
