A funeral service for John Butler, 48 of Spencer is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at the Warner Funeral Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Tonna Parsons will lead the service.

Mr. Butler died at his home on Tuesday, April 15.

Casket Bearers; Matt Coleman, Billy Kardell, Patrick Brausey, Bruce Kardell, Gary Wilson and Alan Brausey.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be his nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer.

John William Butler the son of Herbert S. and Shirley Marble Butler was born February 21, 1955 in Iowa City. He received his education in Spencer attending Jefferson Elementary and graduating from Spencer High School in 1974.

After graduation he worked for Spencer Ready Mix, Adams Trucking Company and for many years he worked for Kardell Trucking Company.

Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one nephew.

Survivors include one brother, Herbert R. Butler of Spencer; three sisters; Wanda A. Brausey of Norfolk, Nebraska, Connie E. Butler of Spencer and Fayette K. Butler of Rock Rapids; other relatives and friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
