December 16, 1997Vivian Glee Brugman, 85, died Tuesday, December 16, 1997 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Royal. The Rev. Theodore Letzring will officiate.
Casket Bearers; Scott Ballstadt, Travis Ballstadt, Bradley Mace, Bryan Boehringer, Brent Boehringer and Ryan Mace.
Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.
Vivian Glee Brugman, the daughter of Albert and Ruth Crane Johnson, was born August 30, 1912 on a farm south of Royal. It was there she graduated from high school in 1929. She attended Normal Training School in Spencer and taught country school for two years.
On June 6, 1933, she married Russell Brugman. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Royal.
Mrs. Brugman was a longtime choir director at Trinity Lutheran Church in Royal. In 1994, the couple moved to the Sunrise Apartments in Spencer.
Mrs. Brugman was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, three daughter, Sharon Boehringer and her husband, John of Eugene, Oregon; Linda Hindt and her husband Jim of Rockwell City; and Lois Mace and her husband, Scott of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; six grandsons and two sisters, Lola Morrow of Steilacoom, Washington; and Evelyn Jensen and her husband, Howard of Ogden.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
