M.C. (Dutch) Brower, 73, of Arnolds Park, died Sunday, December 3, 1995 at the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake with the Rev. Albert O. Grendler officiating.

Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

M.C. (Dutch) Brower, the son of Ed and Verna Brower, was born February 14, 1922 in Hartley, where he received his education.

He served three years in the Army Air Force, the 24th Combat Mapping Squadron, Flying in China, Burma and India.

His decorations/citations include; Four Overseas Service Bars, the Asiatic-Pacific Citation, and a Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Battle Stars. He also received a good conduct medal and a World War II Victory Medal.

He married Lorene (Gunnie) Morrow on January 10, 1946. They made their home in Spencer, where they enjoyed 30 years in the automobile business. In 1964 he became a partner in Lee Holt Motor, Inc. and remained until he retired in 1982 at the age of 60.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Susan Holmen and her husband Larry, of Longmont, Colorado and Lis Moreau of Denver, Colorado and one grandson, Scott Holmen.

Turner Funeral Home of Spirit Lake was in charge of arrangements.
