September 10, 1963D.U. Beving, 90, of Lake Township in Clay County, died, Tuesday evening, September 10 at his home.
A resident of Clay County 72 years. Mr. Beving was born November 19, 1872 at Hardin to Ubbe and Janna Beving.
He married Elma Heikens at Ackley, December 8, 1893.
A retired farmer, Mr. Beving was a charter member of the First Reformed Church west of Fostoria.
Services were held at the Warner Funeral Home, Thursday, September 12, with the Rev. Arthur Campney, Pastor of the Calvary and Methodist Churches at Fostoria and Arnolds Park officiated.
Interment was made in North Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers; Harry Beving, Vernon Smith, Herbert Janssen, Ernest Heikens, George A. Heikens and Clarence Heikens.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Georgia Fuller, Royal, Mrs. Roy Fiedler, Moneta, Mrs. Dora Templeman, Webb, Mrs. John Ebersole, Spencer, Mrs. Ed Gaffney, Las Vegas, Mrs. Lee Gilmore, Sutherland, Mrs. Johannes Cartensen, Dickens; two sons, Eugene Beving, Dickens, Rueben Beving, Spencer, 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Dick Janssen of Milford.
