A funeral service for Hazel Berg, 82, of Milford was held Monday, November 4, 2002 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. The Rev. James Bruch led the 10:30 a.m. service.

Mrs. Berg died Thursday, October 31.

Pallbearers; James, Larry, Ron, Dennis, Greg and Bill Feldhacker.

Honorary Pallbearers; Jim Fitzpatrick, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Dave Gottsche, Jack Henrichsen, Keith Hemphill and David Simpson.

Burial was at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer.

Hazel Mary Berg, the daughter of John and Florence Hupp Gilgen was born June 24, 1920 in rural Onawa. Her years growing up were spent in Onawa and Castana.

In 1937, she John Feldhacker in Onawa. They made their home in Spencer. She worked at the South T Motel in Spencer and also was a sales associate at Younkers and Spencer Sewing Machine.

In 1960 she married John Berg and moved to a farm southeast of Milford.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her second husband; eight children and their spouses; James and Alene Feldhacker, Larry and Terry Feldhacker, Ron and Tonya Feldhacker, Dennis and Virginia Feldhacker all of Omaha, Greg and Tony Feldhacker of Milford, Jean and Don Garrison of Lincoln, Nebraska, Joyce and Francis Keller of Brandon, South Dakota and Patty and Ron Scott of Yutan, Nebraska; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Mac Mock; other relatives.
