September 17, 1975Funeral services for Ubbe Beving, 86, of Spencer, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Hope Reformed Church of Spencer. The Rev. Al Moss will officiate.
Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Beving died September 17 at St. Luke's Lutheran Home.
Casket Bearers: William Steffen, Gerrit Prange, Harold Anderson, Charles Leniger, Klaas Groen and Lowell Mouw.
Mr. Beving was born August 19, 1889 in Clay County, the son of Dirk and Tena Heikens Beving.
He married Dorathea Bertha Luckhart on March 14, 1912 at Eldora. She died on 1975.
He was a retired farmer and attended the University of Dubuque. He farmed all his life west of Fostoria. He was a director of Farmers Savings Bank of Fostoria.
Survivors include two sons, Donald of Des Moines and Delmar of Spencer; one daughter, Mrs. Delores Roskens of Spencer; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one brother, John of Everly; and one sister, Annie Beving.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
