Graveside services for Glen Junior Bates, 51, of Colorado Springs, Colorado will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 2, at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer. Rev. Dale Hodge will officiate the services.

Bates, son of Raymond H. and Hallie R. (McCarty)
Bates, was born July 18, 1928 in Minnesota.

He married Phyllis Johnson in Bisbee, Arizona on July 24, 1956.

Bates died December 11, 1979 in Colorado Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Robert Davis of Kentucky and Tim Bates of Spencer; two daughters, Mrs. (Gary) Mary Beaver of Kentucky and Gayle McManaway of Germany; his mother, Hallie Bates of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 10 grandchildren, four brothers, Richard of Colorado Springs, Ralph of South Dakota, Herbert of Wilcox, Arizona and Jom of Phoenix, Arizona and a sister, Mrs. (Harold) Esther Fleener of Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Warner Funeral Home is in charge of the service department.
