March 20, 1975Funeral services for Adolph G. Anderson, 86, of Spirit Lake were held March 22 at the Donovan-Leyson Chapel in Spirit Lake with the Rev. Wayne Carlson presiding.
Bearers: Richard Peterson, Donovan Stuhr, Jerry Goodlaxson, James Smith, Kevin Langer and Terry Osgerby.
Interment was in North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Spencer.
Mr. Anderson died March 20 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
He was born November 7, 1888 in Martin County, Minnesota, a son of Peter and Carolyn (Peterson) Anderson.
He married Christena Mikelson of Alpha, Minnesota on February 1, 1910.
He farmed at Alpha for a few years then moved to Spencer, where they resided for 40 years. After that they moved to Spirit Lake.
Anderson was a road contractor.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Christena; one sister, Mary Peterson and one brother, George Anderson, both of Bloomkest, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother and his only son, Donald.
Donovan-Leyson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake was in charge of arrangements.
