Funeral services for Mrs. Farris Amis, 78, of Spencer, were held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Warner Chapel. The Rev. Leon Triggs officiated.

Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Amis died Friday at her home.

Bearers: Allan Jones, Grank Hargens, Ralph Lundt, Russell Lewis, Dr. Roger Larson and Edgar Quillin.

Honorary Bearers; Lowell Lewis, Erwin Barglof, Earl Kraft, Leo Lang, Chet Norland, Ray Burg, Farris Johnston, Elmer Anderspm. Weldon Pickering, Wayne Pickering, Clyde Jones, Wilmer Lundt, Dr. L.W. Larson, Roger Mills and Bob Traughber.

Mrs. Amis was born April 13, 1897, in Greenville, the daughter of Peter and Andrea (Hansen) Swanson.

She married Farris Amis on May 23, 1923 in Primghar.

She was a member of the Congregational Church of Greenville.

She had lived most of her life in Greenville until she and her husband retired in 1959 and moved to Spencer.

Survovors include her husband, Farris; one son, Everett Amis of Greenville; and two daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Darlene) Prather of Spencer and Mrs. R. L. (Geraldine) Hively of Spencer; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
