Services for Dorothy Berry, 89, Spencer, will be at 1:30, Friday, November 4 at Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Tom Dettmer and the Rev. Lloyd Hodges will officiate.

Casket Beares; Vernon Harmon, Bryan Steven, Kevin Steven, Geoffrey Steven, Orton Hanson and John Berry

Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer.

Mrs. Berry died Sunday, October 30, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.

The daughter of Arthur and Louisa Grace (Smith) Warner, she was born September 6, 1899 in London, England. Her childhood years were spent in London and it was there that she received her early education.

On April 19, 1923, she married John Berry in Tottenham, London, England. Following their marriage, they lived in London until moving to Spencer to be near their daughter in September of 1947.

In 1951, they moved to Omaha, Nebraska, but returned to Spencer in 1970. Since that time the Spencer community has been her home. For many years she enjoyed doing volunteer work with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).

Mrs. Berry ws preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; one brother; one half sister and two half brothers.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Geoffrey and Evelyn Berry of Larchmont, New York; one daughter and her husband, Dorothy and Elmer Steven of Spencer; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
